Ptosis Surgery
Ptosis or “droopy eyelids” can be caused by a variety of conditions and can affect adults and children. Once people had ptosis surgery, their eyes are usually more open, achieving a refreshed and more awake appearance.
Dr Ullrich performs ptosis surgery from the underside of the eyelid for most patients (“posterior approach ptosis surgery”. This technique avoids a skin incision and can be performed as day surgery. It can be combined with other procedures such as blepharoplasty.
In some people, an anterior approach ptosis correction or the need for a silicone brow suspension may be required.
Dr Ullrich will perform a complete examination and discuss your surgical options at the time of consultation.
